Bloggers come in all shapes and sizes. Cliche, but true. Not everyone is hear to blog about the same thing, nor will everyone bring the same background or wealth of information to the table. What everyone will bring is a way to educate their (past, present and future) clients.Looking back, this is one of the reasons I’ve always admired about blogging: the freedom. The freedom to blog about whatever, whenever, and share what you know or found out, with everyone on the Internet. Must the content be original and not just copy and pasted off another website? Yes, but this doesn’t limit what you can write about. You just need to make sure it comes from you.
At a time where information is passed along faster than ever before, it’s incredible how much we miss on a day-to-day basis. This is where we come in.
We take this opportunity to fill our blogs with information so that anyone that finds us will be educated about what we do and contact us in response to it.
It’s our responsibilty to educate our clients in hopes of making their transactions run quicker and smoother.I’m not saying to generalize but educating your clients is usually the first step to a successful relationship. It’s not in your best interest to withhold information or use magic tricks to make yourself look good.
It’s simply about education. In the reverse mortgage business, I frequently have to educate my clients first before we start anything.
I want to make sure they understand everything about the process, be confident that I have their best interest in mind and to combat all the negative media stigma that comes with being a reverse mortgage broker. It’s part of my job description to be a source of information for my clients. Even if they don’t expect it, I should be, because if I don’t know what I’m talking about, how can they trust me? And, in the end, trust is everything in our business.
Educate your clients before anything and expect successful results.Interested in a
